Thatta is an interesting old town only 98 km east of Karachi, making it a decent goal for an end of the week retreat. It gloats of verifiable landmarks like Makli Hills (the biggest necropolis in the Asia), Keenjhar Lake (Pakistan’s second largest lake of fresh water) and the Shah Jahan Mosque (Submitted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
One of the most enjoyable part of any trip is if it is by road. Pack your backpack, put the sunblock, goggles in it for protection. Wear the footwear in which you are most comfortable, keeping in mind that the places you are going to visit cover a huge area. Keep a hand sanitizer with you and if you are dust allergic keep a mask with you too.

Keenjhar Lake:
Keenjhar Lake is located in Thatta, district Sindh, Pakistan. It is also known as Kalri Lake. It is 126 Km situated away from Karachi. Length wise the lake is 24 Km long and breath wise it is 6 Km wide while maximum 26 feet deep. It serves as one of the largest fresh water lake of Pakistan whose parallel Indus river flow.
