US AGAINST 2020!

Hammad Siddique

Since March things are going haywire. Everything is just so unexpected and unpredictable that we all didn’t even get a chance to comprehend and prepare for what’s coming next. 2020, indeed, has been one crazy ride till now. The whole world, every single man on this earth is going through a situation which has made a life for him very restricted. It feels as if Everything has come to a halt. People going to offices who always thought of having just one day off are having every day off now. Children can’t go to school and study, it feels like holidays for them?

Not after 4 months. Parks, cinemas and every public place have been shut down and people are asked to stay in their homes so that they can be safe with the pandemic around. Every day feels like a Sunday. COVID'19 May be very stressful for people. Public actions, such as social distancing can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. Children are likely to be experiencing worry, anxiety, and fear, and this can include the types of fears that are very similar to those experienced by adults, such as a fear of dying, a fear of their relatives dying, or a fear of what it means to receive medical treatment. If schools have closed as part of necessary measures, then children may no longer have that sense of structure and stimulation that is provided by that environment, and now they have less opportunity to be with their friends and get that social support that is essential for good mental well-being. All of this has really affected each and every one of us in numerous ways. Let's just hope everything settles down and nothing else goes in a direction which we can’t handle anymore.
